About
Micah Reish
As the owner of Crestone Financial Advisors, I would like to thank you for your interest in our financial planning services. I’m a fee only financial planner and the owner of Crestone Financial Advisors. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Bridgewater College. Prior to founding Crestone Financial Advisors in 2012, I worked with Hancock, Engel and Associates in Charlottesville, VA, as a registered representative (series 7 and 66) and licensed in insurance (life & health).
Among my own financial history, I have been a profitable small business owner before following my passion into the financial planning field. On a personal level, I have been a guide for mountaineering, rock climbing, and mountain bike adventures; and still try to find time for the outdoors when possible. I am a dedicated father and husband. I gain the most enjoyment from seeing others succeed. My detail-oriented approach to financial planning advice can be summarized in three main philosophies.
Crestone Financial Advisors Philosophies
Holistic Wealth Management – To plan wisely, we help you to review all of the details that make up your financial life. Our personal financial planning service includes: Goal Setting, Cash Flow Analysis, Risk Management, Income Tax Planning, Investment Planning, Education Planning, Career Changes, Retirement Planning, and Estate Planning.
Investment Management – We help to plan your investment strategy around diversification, fee minimization, and tax efficiency. We do not believe in market timing, though studies have shown returns can be enhanced by paying attention to long-term trends in valuation. Much of our investment philosophy is guided by the work completed over the last 30 years by Eugene Fama and Kenneth French.
Fee-Only Compensation – Crestone Financial Advisors believes that anyone providing you advice should be a Fiduciary. While there is nothing inherently wrong with selling a financial product, you should not seek advice from someone who is trying to make a sale.
